The ITRIX Rapamycin-eluting stent implantation system is the first carbonized stent (Inert Technology) with a completely biodegradable polymer coating which contains Rapamycin (RapasorbTM) as highly effective drug for preventing early thrombotic and re-stenotic events.
Absorbtion of carrier coating and drug takes place simultaneously leaving a carbonized stent platform behind.
The main features of ITRIX:
- Rapamycin-eluting
- Carbon-Ion stent platform (Inert-Technology)
- Bioabsorbable polymer
- Just 3 months for complete and controlled degradation
- No auxiliary polymer used
- reliable and even drug release
- No leakage of heavy metal ions
- Inhibition of thrombin synthesis
The INERT technology:
Under vacuum, carbon ions are shot with high load of energy onto and onto the stent surface so that the ions are implanted within the metal lattice under the alloy's surface.
Excellent outcomes:
- Baseline characteristics: 57% C-lesions
- Thrombosis rate at 24-months: 0.0%
